Because synergy between key skills is now a major component of success in drug discovery, our biologists work close together with cheminformatics specialists and chemists to accelerate hit identification and compound optimization. Accordingly, our dedicated biology resources are adapted to suit integrated projects. These include:
● Screening
To support hit discovery and lead optimization, we are skilled in studying a compound’s effects on enzyme activity, protein-protein interactions or ligand/receptor binding, at all stages of the project.
We develop and perform functional assays on primary or immortalized cell lines in order to analyze the impact of your hit and lead compounds on targets.
● Early ADME
ADME data and strategy are important for selecting compounds with the higher chance of success as drug candidate and eliminating flawed drug candidate early in drug discovery process. Our in silico and in vitro ADME capabilities allow us to predict and test ADME properties of compounds in order to support medicinal chemistry programs.

● Toxicity
Because drug-induced toxicity is one of the major causes of drug failure during drug development, we assess rapid and cost-effective toxicity assays including cytotoxicity (pdf), hepatotoxicity, genotoxicity and cardiotoxicity.
