François Bellamy, PhD, Preclinical Development Director
François BELLAMY has over 27 years of experience in Drug Discovery and Preclinical Development within the pharmaceutical industry and start-up companies. Before joining the pharmaceutical industry he spent 9 years in academic research.
His research activities cover various domains including cardiovascular diseases, immunology, neuroprotection, anti-viral, anti-cancer
He has been responsible for the filing of over 60 international patents, including 20 as an inventor. He has published about 60 papers in peer reviewed journals and has given over 100 conference presentations around the world. Under his supervision, 12 new chemical entities (NCEs) have been launched into preclinical development, all 12 molecules moved into Phase I clinical trials, 8 entered Phase II and 2 have been studied in Phase III. François Bellamy advises Idealp-Pharma for all preclinical developments. |

Didier Rognan, PhD, Cheminformatics Project Manager
Didier Rognan leads the Drug Bioinformatics Group at the Laboratory for Molecular Pharmacochemistry in Illkirch (France). He was born in Douarnenez (France), studied Pharmacy at the University of Rennes (France) and earned a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry in Strasbourg under the supervision of Professor C.G. Wermuth. After a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Tübingen (Germany), he moved with Gerd Folkers to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. In October 2000, he was appointed as a CNRS Research Director and built a new bioinformatics group in Illkirch. He is interested in all aspects of protein-based drug design and virtual screening (method development, applications, etc.). Didier Rognan was appointed as Idealp-Pharma's Cheminformatics Projects Manager in 2004.
